Fitness Classes and Gym Memberships

Zebulon Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of fitness opportunities to our citizens. Whether you are looking for an individual workout place (Fitness Room Membership) or a group class to take part in, Zebulon Parks and Recreation should have something that will fit what you are looking for. 

Fitness Room Memberships

The fitness rooms at the Zebulon Community Center are equipped with the latest in exercise equipment to help you obtain and maintain your fitness goals. From elliptical machines. to treadmills, to stationary bikes, the fitness rooms will help push you to reach those cardio goals. Wanting to tone up with a little weight lifting? We can help you there as well.  Our rooms are also equipped with commercial style incline benches with free weights and medicine balls. We also have a state of the art Nautilus Weight Machine that comes in handy when you want to throw around a little more weight. 

Memberships are $10 a month for residents and $15 a month for non-residents

Fitness room hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 8:00pm and Friday's 7:00am - 4:00pm.

Group Fitness Classes

Group fitness classes are a great way to get in shape with a group of friends. Classes are led by certified instructors with an emphasis on fun and fitness. Class schedule is listed below:

Yoga - This world teaches us that quick and easy is the key to our happiness. Yoga teaches us that life is a process and we shouldn't be hurried. Join us as we learn to use mindful breath and movement to attain a longer lasting personal wealth. Classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:00am - 10:00am. 

Zumba - This is not a workout, this is a party!! Come join our Zumba instructor Erica McFarland for this fun and fast moving workout that will blow you away. The music sets the tone for this one of a kind workout. Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30pm - 7:30pm.

Barre/Pilates - Come work on your core muscle groups including the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks. Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am - 10:00am.

Line Dancing - Crank up the music and let's go line dancing. Get a great workout while dancing to your favorite country, beach, dance, and rock-n-roll hits. Class meets on Wednesday mornings from 10:00am - 11:00am.

Cardio Dance - Fitness instructor Journonya Harris sets the mood for the exciting cardio workout. Dance to fun, upbeat tunes from yesterday and today. You'll have so much fun you won't even realize you are working out. All skill levels are welcome. Class meets on Monday and Friday mornings from 10:00am - 11:00am.

Fit & Fun Aerobics - Class for adults who want to improve their strength and flexibility. Class mixes low impact and chair aerobics with strength training. Great class for all skill levels. Class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00am - 11:00am.

Dance Xross Fitness - Exciting new group fitness class that mixes dance, line dancing, kickboxing, and strength training. A fun, upbeat, and effective workout awaits you. Class meets on Wednesday evening from 6:30pm - 7:30pm.

Fitness classes are $5.00 per class. If you have never tried a certain class, you may attend the first time for free. 

Want to save some money? Buy our Get Fit Pass!! Get Fit Pass gives you 7 classes to be used at your discretion. Cost is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents.

Still want more? Why not get an All Access Pass. For $35 residents or $45 non-residents you can get unlimited access to the Fitness Rooms PLUS unlimited access to all Fitness Classes for a month. Ask our staff for details!!
