Public Works

Zebulon Public Works provides a variety of programs and services to the citizens of Zebulon.  We deliver the following sanitation services to over 2,000 homes: yardwaste and leaf collection, bulky waste collection, and solid waste and recycling.  In addition, Public Works maintains 20.3 miles of Town-owned streets, 9.45 miles of sidewalks, and 0.28 miles of greenways.  Construction inspection is provided for new developments to ensure the infrastructure meets Town standards.  Public Works’ management of 10.7 miles of pipe and 4.12 miles of ditches within the stormwater system protects and preserves the Town’s natural waters.  Along with services to the citizens, we manage all construction projects, 78,850 square feet of building maintenance, and 80.8 acres of grounds maintenance for Zebulon’s municipal properties and the cemetery.

For a complete guide to Public Works services, please see the 2019 Public Works brochure. This brochure will be mailed to all town residences in January.
