Congratulations to local Zebulon teen Caden Hudson for being named the Kids Wish Network Hero of the Year! Last year, Caden donated handmade crocheted stuffed animals to the Zebulon NC Police Department and Wake Forest Police Department to comfort children experiencing trauma. Her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact — and now, it’s been celebrated in a big way. During a surprise ceremony, Caden was presented with a $3,000 check and the Hero of the Year award by the Kids Wish Network. We’re incredibly proud to be part of this moment and grateful for young leaders like Caden who make our community stronger. "Kids Wish Network is so happy to reward Caden for her dedication to helping children, and teaching and inspiring others, creating a rippling effect of do-gooders in her community," said Programs Manager Tambra Fulk. Established in 1974, WIMG is a dynamic group within the National League of Cities dedicated to empowering women in local government and encouraging women to seek public office in their communities. In this vital role, Ana will manage official records, oversee municipal proceedings, and ensure compliance with state and local laws. She will work closely with the Town Board, staff, and residents to support transparency and the efficient operation of Town government. Ana brings a wealth of experience from her work in state government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, and an LL.M. from Hamline University School of Law. Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, Ana now calls Raleigh, NC home—and we’re thrilled she’s bringing her expertise to Zebulon. Please join us in giving her a warm and friendly Zebulon welcome!

Today, the Zebulon NC Police Department in coordination with the Wake Forest Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 100 block of W. Franklin Street in Zebulon for drug activity. We appreciate the diligence of our officers and support their work in keeping our community safe. Public Safety is one of the key drivers in our FY2025-26 budget. It is important that we continue to support our officers in preserving the quality of life of residents and businesses.
