These two individuals have completed additional training and years of service to earn the rank of Master Firefighter through our career ladder program. The Master Firefighter is a seasoned firefighter who has additional certifications such as N.C. Driver/Operator, Fire & Life Safety Educator, and others. They are proficient at many skills, including filling in as apparatus driver/operators whenever needed. We are very proud of their accomplishments and appreciate their service to this community!
Attention Zebulon!
As part of ongoing efforts to build a safer community for all, Wake County EMS is making service improvements in 2026 to ensure the right care reaches the largest number of patients in the right amount of time. As always, the safety of patients, providers and the public will be top priority.
Don't forget! Wake EMS will hold a community meeting in Wendell to share more.
THIS Thursday, March 12, at 7 PM at the Wendell Falls Public Safety Station, located at 6021 Taylor Road.
More info can be found at wake.gov/emschanges.

The alarm test will activate the State Emergency Alert System and be carried by local radio broadcasters. Every school, business, and residence is encouraged to participate in this drill. It’s really easy: at 9:30 AM, take a few moments to practice your severe weather safety plan, and seek shelter for a few minutes as if a tornado was headed your way. Practicing this when the weather is good will allow you to react more quickly when the weather turns bad.

Chief Perry and Division Fire Chief Dupree were proud to take part in Read Across America by spending time with students at East Wake Academy’s Elementary School today. They joined other Town of Zebulon employees to read with students and help celebrate the joy of literacy.
Our fire leadership enjoyed sharing stories with the students and seeing their excitement for books and learning. It is always an honor to connect with our local schools and support the next generation both inside and outside of emergency response.
Thank you to East Wake Academy for welcoming us into your classrooms. We look forward to visiting again soon.
