Recently, the Zebulon Police Department was joined by the Raleigh Police Department, Wendell Police Department, and the Wake County Sheriff’s Office for a DWI saturation patrol as part of North Carolina’s Booze It & Lose It campaign. We’d like to thank our neighboring law enforcement agencies for joining us, along with the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP) and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), for their continued support of impaired driving prevention and traffic safety. We have one simple request: if you’ve been drinking, please don’t get behind the wheel. No matter where you’re coming from or where you’re headed, it’s always worth taking a few extra minutes to arrange a safe ride home. Designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or call someone you trust. Every safe choice helps protect you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road. Community Update: Fireworks Schedule Clarification 🎆 We’re aware of some incorrect details circulating regarding fireworks in Zebulon. To clarify, there are no fireworks scheduled tonight, July 4, at Zebulon Community Park. The park will be closed during the time reflected in the circulating advertisement. The Town of Zebulon and Zebulon Devil Dogz Independence Day Fireworks Show will take place on Sunday, July 5, at Nomaco Park, with fireworks happening right after the game. If you’d like to join us just for the fireworks, entry will be allowed beginning at the bottom of the 7th inning. Game starts at 6 p.m. We hope to see you there for a fun evening of baseball and celebration. 🇺🇸🎆

As temperatures continue to rise, Wake County Government has activated cooling stations to help residents stay safe during extreme heat. For eastern Wake residents, the Wake County Eastern Regional Center at 1002 Dogwood Drive in Zebulon will be open Wednesday–Thursday and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (closed July 3).
