☀️ Summer Meals Are Back! Yesterday, families gathered at Wakefield Missionary Baptist Church to kick off the SUN Meals program, enjoying free meals, games, crafts, face painting, and a visit from Ray, the SUN Meals mascot. The Zebulon Police Department’s CARE Unit was onsite sharing resources, while Zebulon Fire Department’s C Shift brought a fire engine for children to explore. SUN Meals is a USDA summer nutrition program that provides free, healthy meals to children and teens 18 and under while school is out for the summer, helping ensure young people have access to nutritious food when school meals are unavailable.
