Planning Director Matt Lower presented on Zebulon's growth, housing demand, economic development opportunities and the Town's efforts to channel growth into high-quality places, a stronger housing mix and long-term community and economic value. He also discussed infrastructure investments, housing strategies and small area planning initiatives that will help guide future growth.
Thank you to the Triangle Community Coalition for bringing together leaders from across the region to discuss growth, housing and economic development.


From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Zebulon Parks & Recreation will be onsite with Recreation on the Go activities, games, and opportunities to connect with neighbors and friends.

The Mt. Zion Play Space is a partnership between the Town of Zebulon and Mount Zion United Holy Church designed to bring recreation, community programming, and neighborhood connections to the Gill Street area.

Good evening. On behalf of Mayor Jessica Daniels Harrison and the Town of Zebulon, it is our pleasure to announce the students selected to serve as the inaugural members of the Mayor's Youth Council.
The Mayor's Youth Council was established to provide young leaders with meaningful opportunities to learn about local government, develop leadership skills, and actively contribute to the future of our community.
The students selected for appointment have demonstrated enthusiasm, character, and a genuine desire to serve, and we are excited to welcome them into these important roles. Please join us in congratulating the following students on their initial appointments:

To support the Mayor's Youth Council, a dedicated team of adult advisors will provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership development opportunities throughout the year. Their role is to encourage civic engagement, help students navigate their responsibilities, and ensure members have a meaningful and enriching experience while serving their community.

The public hearing on the proposed FY 2026-27 budget has been rescheduled for June 22.
