Throughout the month of March, the Town of Zebulon will highlight the women who serve our community across departments as part of Women’s History Month.

Today we recognize Detective Sergeant Burke, who brings nearly a decade of experience to the Zebulon Police Department.

Detective Sergeant Burke supervises and supports three investigators within the Criminal Investigations Division. Her responsibilities include reviewing case work and investigative steps while providing oversight and support to ensure investigators have the tools and guidance needed to bring justice to victims and build strong cases for successful prosecution.

The unit’s work also extends beyond traditional investigations through collaboration with the C.A.R.E. Unit and community engagement initiatives such as the Police Explorers program, which helps strengthen relationships between the department and the community.

“Serving the Town of Zebulon means protecting this community I took an oath for, establishing real connections, and leading my team in accountability and integrity every day,” said Detective Sergeant Burke.

We thank Detective Sergeant Burke for her leadership, dedication, and commitment to the safety and well-being of our community.
