TRAFFIC UPDATE: ROADWAY REOPENED
The downed power lines near 1001 N. Arendell Avenue have been cleared, and N. Arendell Avenue is now open to traffic in both directions.
TRAFFIC ALERT: Power lines are down in the roadway near 1001 N. Arendell Ave.
Northbound traffic on N. Arendell Avenue is being diverted onto E. Judd Street. Southbound traffic is being rerouted around Town Hall to avoid the area.
Duke Energy has been notified. Please use caution and follow all traffic directions.

Due to ongoing water main repairs near 722 N. Arendell Avenue, southbound traffic is being detoured.
Drivers traveling south should:
Turn right onto W. Franklin Street
Turn left onto N. Church Street
Turn left onto W. Lee Street to return to N. Arendell Avenue
Northbound traffic is not affected.
Repairs are expected to be completed by approximately 2 a.m. Please use caution and follow all posted detour signs.

Community Park Update
Due to a tree on an aerial utility line, the City of Raleigh is assessing the damage and making any necessary repairs.
Disc Golf Holes 10–12 are closed for the remainder of the day while crews complete their work. The restrooms at Community Park are also temporarily closed.
Please avoid the work area and follow any posted signage.
We will provide an update tomorrow morning on the status of the restrooms and whether they will reopen. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Traffic Update (8:35 p.m.)
The northbound and southbound lanes of North Arendell Avenue in front of Zebulon Town Hall have reopened to traffic.
Thank you to the crews who worked to safely clear the roadway and restore access. Please continue to use caution while traveling due to the storm.

North Arendell Avenue in front of Zebulon Town Hall is currently closed in both directions due to downed power lines and trees blocking the roadway.
Please avoid the area and use an alternate route. We will share updates as they become available.

Community Update: Fireworks Schedule Clarification 🎆
We’re aware of some incorrect details circulating regarding fireworks in Zebulon. To clarify, there are no fireworks scheduled tonight, July 4, at Zebulon Community Park. The park will be closed during the time reflected in the circulating advertisement.
The Town of Zebulon and Zebulon Devil Dogz Independence Day Fireworks Show will take place on Sunday, July 5, at Nomaco Park, with fireworks happening right after the game.
If you’d like to join us just for the fireworks, entry will be allowed beginning at the bottom of the 7th inning.
Game starts at 6 p.m.
We hope to see you there for a fun evening of baseball and celebration. 🇺🇸🎆

Please plan ahead, arrive early, and follow posted parking guidance. No parking zones will be enforced to help keep traffic moving and ensure everyone’s safety.

Trash Collection Update
The Town of Zebulon would like to clarify this week’s solid waste schedule. Due to an error on the printed collection calendar, trash collection will take place on Friday, July 3, not July 4. We apologize for any confusion.
Please note:
• There will be no bulk waste pickup this week.
• Recycling will remain on its normal schedule.
• Yard waste crews will collect Monday through Thursday, with any remaining routes completed the following week.
If your trash is not collected on Friday, please contact Public Works at 919-269-5285 by Monday at 12 p.m. If you reach voicemail, please leave your address and contact information so staff can follow up.
