Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 160A-71(b)(1), notice is hereby given that the undersigned has called a Special Meeting of the Zebulon Board of Commissioners to participate in the Cops, Cars, and Coffee event. This meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., February 7, 2026, at Universal Chevrolet, which is located at 606 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon, NC 27597. The purpose of the meeting is to give the Board of Commissioners an opportunity to engage with the community. There is no set agenda, and the Board of Commissioners is not expected to act on any topic.
This meeting is open to the public.

Zebulon received approximately 4–6 inches of snow overnight. While skies are clearing, road conditions remain poor and travel is still hazardous.
Here’s the latest:
• Current temperature: 19° with wind chills as low as zero
• No reported power outages in the Zebulon area
• No road closures, but roads are still snow- and ice-covered
• Public Works crews are actively working today to plow primary and secondary roads, with salt being reapplied to bridges and overpasses
• Parks and Recreation programs are canceled today, and the Community Center and parks are closed
We strongly encourage residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary to allow crews and first responders to continue their work safely.

Our Public Works crews are out taking care of the roads, so we’re asking everyone else to please stay home if you can. Let’s keep our community safe and give our crews room to work. Stay warm and take care of each other.
❄️ Winter Storm Update – Town of Zebulon ❄️
The winter storm is underway across central North Carolina, and hazardous conditions are expected to continue through Sunday.
➡️ What to know:
• A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through midday Sunday
• An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, with wind chills potentially dropping as low as 5 degrees below zero
• Additional snowfall is possible this evening, and roads will remain hazardous due to snow and the risk of black ice
• Strong winds may cause blowing snow and reduced visibility
🚗 For your safety:
• Please avoid unnecessary travel
• Stay off the roads to allow room for first responders and Public Works crews
• Check on neighbors, especially older adults
• Bring pets indoors and use heaters safely
Town crews continue to monitor conditions and will respond as weather allows. We appreciate the community’s cooperation and patience as we work through this winter event.
