Members of the Zebulon Fire Department shared these photos from some of the emergencies they responded to today.
The Fire Chief and other first responders warn that while Town of Zebulon Public Works crews and NCDOT treated many Town- and state-maintained roads, remaining moisture and freezing rain are expected to refreeze and create dangerous conditions overnight.
It is too dark to capture additional photos, but please take our word for it. Roads are hazardous and conditions are not expected to improve tonight.
If you lose power, please report the outage directly to your electric provider. Please also remember:
• Never use generators or grills indoors
• Do not use ovens or stovetops to heat your home
• Keep space heaters away from flammable materials
Stay home if you can. Stay warm. Please stay off the roads.
