The Town of Zebulon’s social media pages are limited public forums intended to share information with our community. We welcome comments and feedback from the public. To maintain a respectful and safe environment for all users, including minors, the Town may hide or remove comments that fall into the following content-based, legally permissible categories:
- Profanity or obscene language
- Discriminatory, hateful, or harassing language directed at individuals or groups
- Threats, incitement, or encouragement of illegal activity
- Personal attacks, bullying, or targeted harassment
- Content that includes confidential, private, or personally identifiable information
- Spam, commercial solicitations, or off-topic content
- Images or links containing explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material
All moderation actions are based solely on content, not viewpoint, in accordance with federal First Amendment law and North Carolina public records and open government requirements.
Comments that do not fall into the categories above will be allowed regardless of viewpoint.
The Town of Zebulon reserves the right to retain, archive, and disclose comments in accordance with North Carolina Public Records Law.
